The warm-up is coming
High: 68
Low: 37
Lows have been consistently cold despite the warmer-than-normal afternoons. However, expect even the lows to start warming up, with 40s becoming more prevalent the next few days compared to the 30s earlier this week. By Saturday night, I’ve put overnight lows in the 50s.
Highs will be on the upward trend as you can see on the bottom picture to the left. With rising temperatures comes rising humidity, though don’t expect the humidity to get out of control; it simply won’t be the bone-dry humidity that we love during December.
A cold front is expected to push into the area Sunday night into Monday. It looks like there’s just enough CAPE (convective available potential energy) and wind shear for storms, but there’s nothing high enough to put a chance for severe weather as of right now. After that, temperatures will come back down.
