“The Punisher” Gears Up for Debut Fight This Weekend

Macon native Torez "The Punisher" Finney Jr., makes his debut at UFC Fight Night: Emmett vs. Murphy this Saturday

LAS VEGAS, Nevada – (41NBC/WMGT) – Macon native Torrez Finney Jr. is set to make his UFC debut this Saturday at UFC Fight Night: Emmett vs. Murphy, months after he celebrated his contract signing with the United Fighting Championship organization.

Back in October, fans gathered at the Tubman Museum to honor Finney’s achievement. Now, the middleweight fighter is prepared to step into the Octagon for the first time to face Robert Valentin in a main-card bout set to begin at 9 p.m. ET on ESPN.

Finney took to social media Wednesday to showcase his fight-night attire, captioning the post with “Here we go!” The fighter, known as “The Punisher,” appeared energized and ready for the challenge ahead.

Finney’s debut marks a milestone for the Macon community, which has rallied behind him throughout his journey to the UFC.
