The President Recognizes FVSU
President Obama recognizes a local college. Monday Fort Valley State University celebrates the schools Vice President of Career and Collaborative Programs for his “Developmental Energy Program.”
The President awarded Dr. Isaac Crumbly with the Presidential Award for Excellence in Science, Mathematics and Engineering Mentoring. Dr. Crumbly had the chance to meet President Obama in the Oval Office.
“The idea that he would take time out to invite mentors in STEM education to the White House is very gratifying and humbling,” said Crumbly.
FVSU was the only Georgia institution to receive the award and the only Historically Black College and University in the country. ?
