The 2024 Mercer University Inductees of the 54th Hall of Fame Class Announced
The 2024 Hall of Fame Class for Mercer University will be inducted Friday and Saturday during Homecoming Weekend
MACON, Georgia – (41NBC/WMGT) – The new inductees of the 2024 Mercer University Hall of Fame Class include baseball standout Billy Burns (2008-11), women’s basketball phenom Kahlia Lawrence (2014-18) and former men’s basketball head coach Bob Hoffman (2008-19).
Mercer will also induct Bears supporter Ashley Copelan as the first inductee into the hall of fame’s “Hall of Honor”, which is reserved for individuals who have made significant contributions to Mercer athletics outside of playing or coaching.
The 54th hall of fame class will be recognized at the annual Alumni and Friends Awards Reception and Dinner on November 1st, in the President’s Dining Room, as well as on Saturday at 3 p.m. during Mercer’s homecoming football game against East Tennessee State.
