Tenants at Macon Apartment Complex Complaining About Water Outages

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Residents at Falls at Spring Creek Apartments in north Macon say for the last few months, their water has been cut off multiple times.

Sometimes it’s off all day, and sometimes, it’s turned off without any notice.

Those we spoke to Tuesday tell us management at the complex has gotten better about letting people know when their water will be cut off, but some say they don’t always cut it off when they say they will.

One tenant 41NBC spoke with didn’t want to reveal her identity, but she says these outages aren’t only an inconvenience—they’re also costing her family extra money.

“They said, ‘Fill up tubs,’ ‘Fill up water jugs,'” she says.  “That was something we had to go out and buy.  My tub does not hold water; it leaks, so I could not hold any water in the tub.  It’s just inconvenient—especially for people with small children.”

Tenants say water issues at the complex started back in October.  Some say management seems more focused on remodeling their office than fixing the problem.

We did reach out to management to ask them why the water has been cut off so many times, but they refused to comment.
