Temperatures warm some more today, continuing our spring-like weather

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Enjoying the spring-like temperatures? We’re still in the winter, but this week feels more like April than March. The pattern today is the same as yesterday, with high pressure off the coast keeping things dry and shifting winds in our area to the southeast, warming the state.

The average temperatures this time of the year are:

Highs: 67
Lows: 43

We won’t come close. Overnight lows will be in the 50s for most of the week, with highs in the upper 70s everyday through at least Saturday. 80s are also possible late in the week.

Middle Georgia will remain dry through at least Thursday. A low pressure system pushes into the southeast starting Friday, though it’s a slow-mover. We could get some showers on Friday, though nothing big.

Saturday, our chance of rain increases a bit, but truth be told, the models are looking drier than they did yesterday. Therefore, I’ve lowered the chance of rain Saturday to around 30 percent while raising Sunday’s chance, which looks a bit rainier.

Middle Georgia gets drier on Monday.
