Temperatures warm before cold front brings overnight rain
MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – We know many of you enjoyed the 60s this weekend, but it’s time to warm the air. Highs today reach the upper 70s and low 80s, which is a bit above the 75 degree average. Partly sunny skies are expected today with increasing clouds this evening.
Then the rain arrives.
A week cold front pushes through the area overnight, which is when the bulk of the rain will fall. Cloudy skies persist throughout the day with the possibility of afternoon showers. Don’t worry about severe weather: there’s just a chance for regular spring storms.
On Wednesday, a wedge forms in the southeast. That means cloud cover will be in high abundance, and temperatures will fall to the upper 60s. Chance of rain returns on Thursday.
