Temperatures plummet to the low 20s tonight

Middle Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – This morning is cold but not freakishly cold: upper 20s and low 30s, something we’ve hit several times this month. But tomorrow morning is when temperatures take a substantial dive.

What we have is a high pressure system bringing dry, cold air into the area. Abundant sunshine and highs in the upper 40s today, with freezing temperatures as early as 9pm tonight.

Tomorrow morning, I’ve plugged a low of 20 in our forecast, and with winds from the northwest at 5 – 10 mph, expect wind chill temperatures in the teens. Low 20s are expected Wednesday morning as well.

Temperatures moderate late week (50s for highs starting Wednesday, and 30s/40s for lows), and our chance of rain increases starting Thursday.
