TeleICU launches at Carl Vinson VA Medical Center
DUBLIN, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The Carl Vinson V.A. Medical Center offers multiple TeleHealth services.
Dermatology, optometry, and mental health are just a few of the specialties using the program.
TeleICU is a camera in each patient’s room. Doctors in Ohio monitor the live feeds 24-hours a day, seven-days a week.
Hospital officials explained the service as a second set of eyes that can access all patient records and monitor vital statistics to determine the status of their health.
This is also a way for physicians to consult with other medical experts.
The medical staff at The Carl Vinson V.A. Medical Center said TeleICU not only gives patients better care, it also used as a teaching tool for residents and students.
