Telehealth resources available for families in Houston County
Appointments are available on a first-come-first-served basis.

WARNER ROBINS, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – People living in Houston County will soon have a new, low cost telehealth resource available to them at the Lindsey Student Support Center.
According to Houston County Health Department Nurse Manager, Christina Sikes, patients visiting the clinic can be seen for minor illnesses and get prescribed medication as needed.
“When this facility became available and offered to us, this space, we knew it was an opportunity to provide services in a way that we couldn’t before,” said Christina Sikes, Nurse Manager at Houston County Health Department.
A nurse practitioner will meet with the patient remotely at the Lindsey Student Support Center, and use special equipment to perform exams.
“Clinic days,” are a joint effort between the support center and the Georgia Department of Public Health.
“They do have to register through a job form with the North Central Health District. We have a flyer that is available on our website. We have also posted it on Facebook Page and also on the LSSC Facebook Page and also on the school district’s Facebook’s Page,” said Bonnie Brown, Coordinator for Student Services at LSSC.
Appointments are available on a first-come-first-served basis.
They begin August 27, 2024.
LSSC and the Houston County Health Department have also set up an option to help patients who do not speak English as their first language to schedule an appointment.
