Teens arrested for multiple Macon home burglaries and car break-ins
According to a news release, the call came in around 10:30 p.m., Monday, regarding the 3400 block of Austin Place. Deputies chased two suspects from behind a house in the area. One of the suspects was immediately caught.
Deputies received a second call about the second suspect being spotted in the 3400 block of Hillcrest Avenue. Deputies arrested him near the 3600 block of Morgan Drive.
Deputies discovered two other home burglaries and four car break-ins were committed in the area. Suspects were identified as 19-year-old Mecarieo Peek and a 16-year-old.
Both are charged with four counts of entering auto and three counts of burglary. Peek is in the Bibb County Jail, the 16-year-old is at the Regional Youth Detention Center in Macon.
