Teenager robbed at a bus stop in Macon

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT)- A 16 year old Male was robbed while trying to go to school this morning.

Bibb County Sheriffs are investigation the incident which took place just after 7:00A.M. on Wednesday.  A 16 year old male was walking to the bus stop on his way to school when he was approached by two black males.  They demanded money and his phone.  They took the items, along with the victim’s backpack and shoes before fleeing the scene.  The victim was not injured. 

After getting a description of the suspects from the victim, deputies searched the area and located the suspects on Ell Street.  The suspects ran off, but one of them was caught after a brief foot chase.  He has been identified as 19 year old Michael Mitchel, from Warner Robins. 

The second suspect was last seen wearing a red and black jacket with blue-jeans and was headed towards Anthony Road.  Investigators are working on finding the second suspect.
