UPDATE: Two arrested in connection with fatal shooting of teen in Macon parking lot

Jaylon Stephens and Daeshawn Hardwick were arrested for the the murder of Sha’quvas Dean on April 27, 2024.

(UPDATE 5/3): Two men have been arrested in connection with a death investigation on Tom Hill Sr. Boulevard on April 27.

20-year-old Jaylon Emanuel Stephens and 21-year-old Daeshawn Markell Hardwick were arrested at a residence within the 1800 block of Swan Drive.

Hardwick and Stephens were arrested for the the murder of Sha’quvas Dean on April 27, 2024.

Hardwick and Stephens do not have a bond.

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A teenager was shot and killed early Saturday morning in the parking lot of a north Macon gym, according to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies responded to a large fight that took place in the 100 block of Tom Hill Sr. Road just before 2 a.m. Deputies were told while en route that a person had been shot at this location.

17-year-old Sha’quvas Dean was shot in the parking lot and later pronounced dead by Coroner Ronnie Miley. The next of kin has been notified.

Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Investigators are still determining what led up to the shooting.
