Teen on bike injured during hit and run, driver arrested

WARNER ROBINS, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Warner Robins police officers arrested a man accused of hitting a teen on a bike and fleeing the scene.

According to a news release, a 15-year-old was hit by a car around 6:55 a.m., Tuesday in the 100 block of Briarwood Drive. The driver of the vehicle left the scene, the teen was taken to a local hospital.

Officers located the vehicle involved in the accident with windshield damage in an apartment complex off of North Lake Drive.

26-year-old Joshua Lewis Barham of Fairburn, was arrested and charged  with serious injury by motor vehicle, hit and run, failure to report accident with injuries, reckless driving, failure to render aid, driving with suspended license, no insurance, two counts of violation of Georgia Controlled Substance Act Possession of Schedule I Narcotic and Obstruction.
