Teen arrested for June Hawkinsville murder

HAWKINSVILLE, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A 17 year old has been arrested for the shooting death of Michael Mays.

Mays was killed at his Hawkinsville home on June 6th, according to a news release from the GBI.

Lance Pitts is charged with one count of felony involuntary manslaughter, one count of pointing a gun at another and one count of reckless conduct.

The GBI Eastman Regional Office and the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office worked the investigation.
