Waymo has crossed 450,000 weekly paid rides, according to a letter from investor Tiger Global obtained by CNBC.

(LILAMAX)- Waymo has crossed 450,000 weekly paid rides, according to a letter from investor Tiger Global obtained by CNBC. That number marks a sharp rise from 250,000 weekly rides in April, as the Alphabet-owned robotaxi company continues to separate itself from competitors. Waymo remains well ahead of Tesla, which is still running limited autonomous ride-hailing pilots in Austin and the Bay Area.
Google is also making major strides in wearable AI technology. The company is developing two categories of AI-powered smart glasses designed to compete with Meta’s existing models. Google detailed new software improvements coming to Samsung’s Galaxy XR headset—including a new travel mode and a PC Connect app that allows any Windows computer to link directly to the headset. The new AI-driven glasses are scheduled to launch next year.
Meanwhile, Pine AI is emerging as a leader in the rapidly expanding market of AI agents that perform real-world tasks. The company aims to eliminate the time consumers spend on hold, disputing bills, or navigating complex digital platforms. Pine AI’s “ask-and-it’s-done” approach allows its agents to make calls, send emails, negotiate bills, cancel subscriptions, and secure refunds—streamlining tasks that often drain time and money.
And even Santa is getting tech support this year. AI tools are being deployed throughout the supply chain to help ensure holiday gifts and online orders arrive on time and on budget, improving logistics during the busiest shopping season of the year.
