Tech Report: Snapchat benefits from efforts to ban TikTok

Investors are betting that Washington’s mounting scrutiny on TikTok is good news for rival Snapchat. Shares of Snapchat’s parent company surged nearly 10% on Monday and another 5% in early trading on Tuesday. The surge followed news that U.S. senators are planning to introduce legislation that could make it easier to ban their rival app, TikTok.

Next-gen mobile internet featuring a 6G network will launch in 2030. Telecom executives say they are going through with the update despite the the failures of 5G. After hundreds of billions of dollars of investment into 5G networks, carriers have struggled to see the return due to lack of popularity among consumers globally. The new 6G networks will have new features, including enhanced cybersecurity and more AI features.

The survey center on American life found that most young people were friends with their partner before they started dating. Many of the young people surveyed said that constant swiping had sucked much of the fun and excitement out of dating.
