(LILAMAX)- Salesforce has cut 4,000 customer support jobs and replaced them with artificial intelligence agents. CEO Marc Benioff made the comments while discussing how the new technology is impacting the $248 billion computer software company’s headcount during an appearance on The Logan Bartlett Show podcast. Despite the move to AI, Salesforce is still struggling and its earnings report reflected little growth.
OnePay, the fintech firm majority owned by Walmart, is launching its own branded wireless plan as it seeks to become a one-stop shop for its users. With OnePay, customers can pay for items and get wireless service with the app. The plan costs $35 a month for unlimited 5G data, talk, and text on the AT&T network, according to Gigs, the mobile service that partnered with the company.
Vimeo will lay off “just under 10%” of its workforce, according to CEO Philip Moyer. The cuts, he explained, will help the video-hosting platform “become leaner and more efficient” in its “next phase.” Vimeo recently launched a product designed to let content creators make their own subscription services and apps.
