Tech Report: Gamestop Reports Record Revenue As Collectibles Drive Growth

(LILAMAX)- GameStop reported record revenue, fueled largely by growing demand for collectibles as the company continues to expand beyond traditional video game sales.

The retailer has increasingly focused on products such as Pokémon cards, action figures and other collectibles as more consumers purchase video games digitally or through online platforms.

GameStop also recently made an unsolicited $56 billion bid to acquire eBay, but the offer was rejected.

Meanwhile, dating app Bumble is launching a new group-dating feature called “Plans.”

According to Business Insider, users will pay a fee to attend small group events organized through the app. After participating, users will be asked about their experience and whether they were interested in any attendees. Those users can then match and continue conversations through Bumble.

In the e-commerce sector, a new artificial intelligence platform called Storeclaw is launching with a different approach to helping online sellers.

Rather than simply providing recommendations, the platform is designed to execute tasks across storefronts, advertising, content creation and inventory management on platforms including Shopify, Amazon, GenStore and TikTok Shop. Sellers will still be required to approve actions before they are completed.

Amazon is also moving up one of its biggest shopping events of the year.

The company announced that Prime Day will run from June 23 through June 26, shifting the promotion from its traditional July timeframe.

According to Amazon, the change is intended to align with major summer events, including the FIFA World Cup, Independence Day celebrations and activities marking America’s 250th anniversary.

Prime Day generated $24.1 billion in U.S. online spending in 2025, making it one of the largest retail events of the year.
