(LILAMAX)- Bitcoin investors had a banner day Thursday, as the flagship cryptocurrency surged to a new all-time high, topping $113,000. The rally, driven by a wave of investor confidence in riskier assets, also boosted the value of other major cryptocurrencies including Ether, Solana, and Dogecoin. Bitcoin has now remained above the $100,000 mark for more than 60 consecutive days, with optimism growing around potential regulatory clarity from Congress.

Billionaire Elon Musk made headlines with another big tech announcement — his AI chatbot, Grok, will soon be integrated into Tesla vehicles, possibly as early as next week. The move puts Musk in direct competition with automakers like Mercedes-Benz and Volkswagen, which already offer OpenAI’s ChatGPT as in-car voice assistants. According to Wired magazine, the news follows the release of Grok 4, the latest AI model from Musk’s company, xAI.

Ironically, two of the top job-search platforms are slashing jobs themselves. Indeed.com and Glassdoor announced layoffs affecting around 1,300 employees, impacting HR tech, R&D, and other departments. This follows a previous round of 1,000 layoffs last spring. Indeed’s CEO cited the rapid evolution of artificial intelligence as the reason for the cuts, saying the company must “move faster, try new things, and fix what’s broken.”

Apple fans may soon have new gadgets to look forward to. According to Bloomberg, Apple is planning to launch new versions of the MacBook Pro, iPad, and a new iPhone 17-E by early next year. The iPhone 17-E is expected to feature an upgraded A19 chip and could debut in February. A budget-friendly iPad with a faster chip may follow in March or April. For those eager to upgrade sooner, Apple is reportedly preparing to release the standard iPhone 17 later this year — along with refreshed versions of the Apple Watch and iPad Pro.
