(LILAMAX)- A new Pew Research Center survey shows more Americans are concerned than excited about the rise of artificial intelligence in daily life — the highest level of worry globally. Researchers say public unease could slow AI adoption and reshape workplaces if employees remain skeptical of the technology. The poll found that men, tech-savvy respondents, and heavy internet users were among the most enthusiastic about AI’s growth.
Meanwhile, Walmart is taking a major step in its tech expansion, announcing the rollout of millions of battery-free Internet of Things sensors across its U.S. supply chain. The sensors will provide real-time tracking of merchandise throughout Walmart Supercenters, Neighborhood Markets, and more than 40 distribution centers. The retailer says the move will help keep shelves stocked and costs down. It follows Walmart’s recent announcement of AI-powered shopping tools launching this fall.
In the business world, Jeff Bezos’ ownership stake in Amazon has dropped below 10 percent for the first time. The company’s founder has sold 100 million shares in 2025 alone, down from the 43 percent he owned when Amazon went public in 1997. Bezos has been offloading shares to fund his aerospace company, Blue Origin.
And Apple is preparing to enter the robotics space. The company plans to release a tabletop robot and smart home hub designed to integrate with its ecosystem of devices. The hub will feature indoor security cameras and a display to control home appliances. The robot, expected in 2027, reportedly has life-like movements, can speak weather updates, and was even seen pushing a coffee mug toward a person in early demos.
