(LILAMAX) – Amazon is rolling out prescription vending kiosks at select One Medical clinics in the Los Angeles area. Each machine can stock hundreds of medications — including antibiotics, inhalers, and blood pressure treatments — with inventory tailored to local patient needs.
The move comes as major pharmacy chains like Rite Aid, CVS, and Walgreens close hundreds of stores nationwide. Amazon says it may expand the kiosks to other U.S. cities in the coming months.
In other tech headlines, Elon Musk and X have reached a settlement with former company executives over $128 million in severance pay. The group — which includes former Twitter CEO Parag Agrawal — sued Musk in 2024, alleging he withheld the payments as “revenge” after being forced to complete his $44 billion purchase of the platform in 2022.
Meanwhile, Intel plans to unveil new details today about its next-generation chip, Panther Lake, which the company says will use 30% less energy than previous versions and set a new standard for graphics performance.
And Verizon has signed an agreement with AST SpaceMobile to provide cellular service from space. The partnership aims to offer satellite-based connectivity to mobile users in remote or underserved areas by next year.
