Tech Report: Amazon cutting Kindle Newsstand

Microsoft plans to put artificial intelligence into the hands of more users. The company unveiled a new ‘co-pilot’ for Word documents, Excel spreadsheets, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Microsoft’s new business chat experience can also answer questions like, “Tell my team how we updated to product strategy.” The AI takes cues from a morning’s worth of emails, meetings, and chat threads.

Google is raising the price of YouTube TV to $73 a month. Google says that the increase is necessary as it’s investing more into content.

Social media companies, Snap and Meta, jumped on reports the Biden administration may ban TikTok. Investors believe that a TikTok ban in the U.S. would send lost users back to other platforms.

Amazon is no longer selling magazine and newspaper subscriptions through Kindle Newsstand and will stop delivering current Kindle Newsstand subscriptions in September. After June 5th, you won’t be able to manage print subscriptions through Amazon. The changes are part of cost-cutting measures at the company, which have included massive layoffs. About 18.000 employees were affected.
