Tech Report: AI may help solve the teacher shortage
Microsoft Co-Founder Bill Gates claims that generative AI chatbots can teach kids to read in 18 months rather than years. Artificial intelligence is beginning to prove that it can accelerate the impact teachers have on students and help solve the ongoing teacher shortage.
On Friday, Bitcoin shot up to its highest level in about a year. The cryptocurrency’s value rose above $31,400 per coin on Friday, before paring back its gains. That’s the highest level Bitcoin has seen since 2022.
A study by Snap found a disturbing trend in schemes targeting minors. About two out of every three teenagers are targeted by ‘sextortion’ schemes. ‘Sextortion’ scammers disproportionately target young men for money on social media apps, though girls are also at risk. The platforms used to target young people include Snapchat, Instagram, Tumblr, Twitter, Facebook, and others.
JPMorgan analysts say that Amazon is set to hit a major milestone in 2024. The company is on track to become the largest retailer in the U.S. They would even unseat Walmart. Amazon has grown rapidly in recent years thanks to quick delivery times, the surge in online shopping during the pandemic, and their wide variety of items for sale.
