Taylor Swift is Forbes’ top paid celebrity

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Forbes says Taylor Swift is the top paid celebrity.

Her bank account has been super-sized with a record $170 million from June 2015 to June 2016.

In other business news, a survey finds many students don’t realize that parents are dipping into savings and making sacrifices to pay for their children’s education.

Along with thinking their parents sacrifice less than they actually do, students also think the overall cost of college is lower than the people who pay the bills.

Starbucks is giving managers and front line workers a pay raise.

The raises will be at least 5 percent, with higher cost of living areas receiving more. The company is also loosening its dress code as a move to appeal to millennial employees.

And Target is making changes to its coupon policy.

Coupons in the News says Target updated its cash register software and its coupon policy in an effort to ensure that the discounts are applied accurately to orders.
