Tattnall Square Academy Hires New Football Coach

clintmorganMACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Clint Morgan has been named the new head football coach at Tattnall Square Academy.

Coach Morgan will come to TSA after spending the last two years at Frederica Academy

According to a release from the school, Morgan has 12 years of experience as a head football coach.

He owns a career record of 86-47-1, and after beginning the football program at Frederica, led the school to a 14-2 mark the past two seasons and to the 2012 GISA Class A Championship this past season.

He was also recognized as the 2012 GISA Class A Football Coach of the Year.

“Coach Morgan is dedicated to the success of his athletes both on the field and in the classroom.  I am confident that Coach Morgan’s experience, organizational skills, discipline and passion will help us accomplish our athletic goals,” says athletic director Todd Whetsel.

“Today marks the beginning of a new era in TSA football,” says Dr. Brenda Shuman-Riley, Head of School.  “I am pleased to have Clint Morgan join the TSA family as the new leader of our football team. I look forward to what lies ahead for TSA football with Coach Morgan as the head coach, as well as the excitement he will bring to both TSA’s students and fans.”

Morgan replaces former head coach Barney Hester, who announced earlier this year he’ll move to Howard High School.  Hester coached at Tattnall for 31 years, compiling a 306-79 win-loss record.
