Tattnall Academy Welcomes New Head of School

Tattnall Square Academy is announcing a new addition to their community.

Dr. Brenda Shuman-Riley will join the Tattnall family as the new head of school in June 2012. She says she’s honored to lead a community that centers it’s teaching on strong Christian values.

“I have always been able to find a way to get back to the core of what I am, and that’s an educator, to be a teacher, and if that means to move to a new experience, to take on challenges at whatever level it may be, that’s what I do,” says Shuman-Riley.

She’s replacing interim leader Dr. Michael Drake. He stepped in when Larry Collins was voted out of the position.
