In the heart of downtown Macon, one popular bar is turning the Cherry Blossom Festival into an immersive, picture-perfect experience.

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Switch Macon is embracing the season with its limited-time “Cherry Blossom & Chick Flicks” theme, blending springtime florals with nostalgic movie inspiration to create a vibrant and playful atmosphere.

From the moment guests walk in, they’re greeted with a full-scale pink dreamscape. The space features eye-catching décor, a themed cocktail menu, and curated bar bites designed to match the energy of one of Macon’s most iconic events.

Co-owner Jordan Kirksey says the idea came from a creative challenge, finding a way to expand beyond traditional Cherry Blossom-inspired drinks.

Instead of sticking strictly to floral flavors, the team incorporated elements from classic “chick flick” films, giving each drink a unique personality. One standout cocktail even features house-made sakura syrup, adding a soft pink hue and subtle floral taste that ties back to the festival.
