SUV hits toddler, child in stable condition
MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A two-year old is injured, after running into the road and being hit by a SUV.
The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office says it happened around 4:33 Firday afternoon, near the intersection of Ell Street and E Street in Macon. We’re told the driver of a 2010 Ford Explorer slammed on his brakes trying to avoid the child, but was unsuccessful.
The toddler was taken to the hospital. Dedrius Jones is in serious but stable condition.
The driver, Steven Callison, was not given a citation.
