SUV Flips at Corner of Lincoln and Walnut Streets

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Macon police are investigating a multi-car accident where an SUV flipped over into a front yard.

It happened at the intersection of Walnut and Lincoln Streets. 41NBC arrived at the same time as the ambulance, where a woman was taken to be treated at a local hospital. No word on her condition or the condition of the other driver.

Witnesses describe what they saw as they were just getting out of church when the accident happened.

“Actually, two of our church members were in the accident,” says witness Jessica May. “The lady just hit the first car, and she tried to stop–she was going really fast, and the car flipped over, and she hit the white car, which hit both of our church members. You just seen the car just flip up, we were right there at the stop sign, it was a scary moment.”

Macon police are still investigating the accident. It was not clear at the scene if their were any serious injuries.
