Robbers use axe during store robbery in Macon

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is looking for the two men who robbed Reliance Food Mart on Napier Avenue.

It happened this morning around 4.

Police say the suspects made the employees lay down on the floor.

Deputies say one of the men then used an axe to break open several gambling machines.

The men took the money from inside the machines and ran away.

No one was hurt during this crime.
