Suspect arrested in fatal hit-and-run in Washington County, second person charged

HAWKINSVILLE, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A suspect in a fatal hit-and-run has been arrested and a second person charged, according to the Washington County Sheriff’s Office.
The Washington County Sheriff’s Office took 22-year-old Derrion Daquan Yorker into custody Sunday at a residence on West Brown Drive in Davisboro.
Yorker was wanted in connection with a serious hit-and-run incident and faces multiple charges, including homicide by vehicle in the first degree — hit and run, hit and run resulting in serious injury, failure to maintain lane and speeding in excess of maximum limits.
Authorities also arrested 22-year-old Isaiah Kelik Tarver of Davisboro in connection with the case. Tarver is charged with harboring a fugitive.
Both individuals are in custody. The case remains under investigation, and additional charges and arrests may be forthcoming, according to the sheriff’s office.
