Strong Storms Possible For Round 1 of The Masters
It is a BIG day at Augusta National! Round 1 of the Masters Tournament kicks off today, after a dreary day weather-wise led officials to cancel Wednesday’s Par 3 contest.

Although there’s plentiful sunshine pouring through the pines at Augusta National this morning, clouds will increase throughout the day. Showers and storms will fire up this afternoon, but mainly after 4 PM.
Some storms could be severe, with the main threats being frequent lightning, gusty winds, hail, and heavy rainfall.

It’s been an unsettled few days across the state with pop-up showers and storms in the afternoon, but the weekend will be much better. Showers are possible on Friday but mainly in the morning. It will also be breezy at times with winds coming out of the northeast between 15 and 17 mph.

Should play be forced to continue into Monday, sunshine will be out in full force. Highs return to the mid 70s.
