Stormy night in Middle Georgia
The rain has been relentless at times today across Middle Georgia. I have seen some storm totals over 3-4 inches already and some over 5″ at this point. The rain will be heavy at times tonight, but not as widespread. We will also have some chances for Thunderstorms as well. The threat for Thunderstorms will increase later tonight and into the overnight. Will they be Severe, that is the million dollar question. Thunderstorms will continue to push into the area from the Southwest and move very quickly North Northeast.
The threat will be from very heavy rainfall, frequent lightning at times, and some winds that could gusts to Severe Limits. There will also be some potential for a few storms to be strong to Severe storms that could contain a few Tornadoes.
