Storms today, but how does the rest of the week look?

The weather has been pretty nice for the most part the last few days.  We finally got some rain and storms today.  For the most part there hasn’t been much severe weather, and to be honest I don’t expect much.  We still have a Severe Thunderstorm Watch for many of our counties until 8pm so the threat, even if its small, is still there.  The biggest threats would be from damaging wind gusts that could easily bring down some trees and power lines.  The threat for storms will be there until around Midnight or so.  The weather will be about the same the next few days.  We will have showers and storm chances really the next 7 days.  Wednesday, Thursday and Friday all feature some good chances for the storms.  Highs will actually only be in the low 90’s, so hot…yes, and humid as well, but nothing like the upper 90’s and low 100’s.  So, enjoy that.  As we roll through the rest of the week and into the weekend, the storm chances will still be there, but not as good, and the 4th should be ok, for the most part.  We will have to dodge some mother nature fireworks though.  -Chris
