Storms leave damage in Baldwin and Bibb Counties
Fallen trees damage homes and power lines after storms move through Middle Georgia

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Storms and tornado warnings moved through Middle Georgia Monday morning, leaving damage in several areas including Baldwin County and Macon.
In Baldwin County, a tree fell through a home just two days after the family living there moved in. Patricia Msezane said she was not home when the storm hit, but her child’s father and her son were inside the house at the time.
“My child’s father and my son were here,” she said. “He said they were in the bed and he was about to get up when the back room right here fell in and he had to jump and cover my son.”
Msezane said she is grateful her family was not hurt. She said her landlord is moving them into another home while repairs are made to the damaged house.
Storm damage was also reported in Macon. Several trees and power lines were down along Pierce Avenue.
Quantavis Wilson, a local tree cutter helping with cleanup, said the damage in the area appears widespread. He believes at least ten homes were affected.
“Man it’s bad,” he said. “You got some people got trees on the house, broke on the house, on they cars, garage all that. We just helped a lady around here, she had to get out of her driveway, and she had a lot of trees, branches and stuff. It was crazy over here really.”
