Store Customer Maces Armed Robber

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A Macon store customer stopped an armed robber by using a can of mace.

Macon police responded to S&S Lotto on Shurling Drive on Friday morning. According to the clerk, a man entered the store and demanded money. He threatened the clerk with a knife and took an undisclosed amount of money. 

Before the suspect was able to leave the store, a patron sprayed the suspect with mace and snatched the bag of money out of the robber’s hands. The suspect fled the scene in a dark colored Ford Crown Victoria. Anyone with information is asked to call Crimestoppers at 1-877-68-CRIME.
