Still Need To See The Fair? Check Out The Racing Pigs

PERRY, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – There isn’t much time left to get to the Georgia National Fair. It wraps up Sunday, so before it gets packed up and moves out of town, you should check out Robinson’s Racing Pigs.

Now a staple of the fair in Perry, Robinson’s Racing Pigs have been as much a part of the Georgia National Fair, as heat is a part of our middle Georgia summers.

Randy Ross, part trainer, part owner, part pig enthusiast, uses Oreo’s to get the pigs to race around the track in only six seconds.

“They love Oreos'”, Ross explains.

The pigs know the first one around the track, get the whole Oreo cookie. That’s what makes them run so fast.

They swim too. Pretty well, in fact.

And wait until you hear their names being called out.

“Britney Spare-Ribs. Arnold Schwarzen-hogger. Pretty much anyone in the spotlight we try to give a name to,” Ross chuckles.
