Stellantis investing $41M in new Mopar distribution center in Forsyth
The facility will store 88,000 auto parts, employ 90 local workers, and open in January 2027.

FORSYTH, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — A new distribution center is coming to Monroe County.
Stellantis announced it’s investing more than $41 million to build a new 422,000 square foot Mopar parts distribution center in Forsyth. It will be located just off Interstate 75 near the Five Below distribution center on Rumble Road.
The facility is expected to open its doors in January 2027.
Monroe County District One Commissioner Lamarcus Davis says the location’s placement is already in a commercial area and that he predicts low impact on local traffic. He says deliveries are planned for the early morning hours, from midnight to 4 a.m.
“That’s the time they try to deliver their parts out to limit that limit to traffic on that road because they understand that’s a heavily traveled road for school and the residential area on the other side of Rumble road,” he said. “So, they are very community friendly. They want to be in the community, and they want to help.”
The new distribution center will store approximately 88,000 different car parts for vehicles under the Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep and Fiat brands. While the facility will utilize 66 robots to assist in packaging, it is expected to create 90 high-paying jobs for local workers, in addition to seven management positions.
“So, it’s a great opportunity for us, for the citizens in Monroe County, maybe to get an opportunity to work at a facility like that,” Davis said.
The economic impact of the new center extends beyond employment. Davis says the center would help with the millage rate and added the increase of workers and business meetings will benefit local restaurants and small businesses.
“They’re going to bring workers that may move here,” he said. “They’re going to bring workers that are going to go to our restaurants to eat lunch. When they come in for business meetings, they’re going to go to our restaurant.”
Stellantis will not receive a tax break as part of the agreement to bring the facility to Monroe County, according to Davis. The center is scheduled to begin operations in January 2027.
