State asking for public input for LIHEAP Program
MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The Georgia Division of Family and Children Services wants your input on the state’s next Low Income Home Energy Assistant Program.
LIHEAP helps eligible elderly, home-bound and other low-income Georgians with home heating costs.
DFCS reports the program gave residents about $49 million in assistance this year.
Copies of the new plan are available on the DFCS website, at county DFCS offices, community action agencies and area agencies on aging.
