St. Paul AME Church to host CPR and heart health class
Event organizer Senesta Roberson said it is important for people to know the difference between a heart attack and cardiac arrest.
MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – St. Paul AME Church and MAGS CPR Life Changing Destiny, LLC are hosting a class to help people recognize the differences and signs of heart attack and cardiac arrest, and learn when and how to perform CPR.
The class will be held from 10 a.m. to noon February 21 at St. Paul AME Church, 2501 Shurling Drive, Macon.
According to the American Heart Association, 70% of out-of-hospital cardiac arrests occur at home, with more than 350,000 happening outside hospitals each year.
