Spring-like warmth begins today
MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – This morning will be the last time for a while we get 30s in the area. This afternoon, temperatures rise to the 70s.
High pressure will help keep our weather dry, but due to the winds shifting to the southeast, clouds will increase this week and temperatures will warm. My highs for this week are:
Tuesday: 77
Wednesday: 78
Thursday: 80
Friday: 80
Overnight lows will rise to the 50s by the end of the week.
With a low pressure system moving into the area this weekend, I’ve increased the chance for rain. At the moment, it’s possible this system may arrive on Saturday, but there’s enough of a chance Friday that I’ve put a 20 percent shot for showers then. Either way, Saturday looks like it’ll be rainier, and there’s enough instability that storms are possible.
On Sunday, the system is pegged to leave the area, though we could still see some morning showers and storms.
