Sports Spotlight: Local Group “Macon” Waves in the Pool

11-year-old Faustina Edwin recently splashed onto the scene of the Macon Waves, a local swim team here in Macon. Faustina says the pool gives her options on a lazy summer day.

“It’s good for my strength and it’s something to do during the summer when I’m just alone doing nothing,” said Edwin.

The Macon Waves Swim Team is part of the Macon-BibbParks and Rec. Department. The group is open to children and teens from 4 years old to 18. Macon Waves provides competitive swimming and lessons.
