Sports Hall of Fame Stays Put

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT)- Thursday Sports Hall of Fame leaders announce the museum will stay in Middle Georgia. Governor Nathan Deal approved a lease for the building that allows the hall to continue operating in Macon. The Bibb County Development Authority will lease the building for a term of one year with two one-year renewal options.  NewTown Macon will manage the hall for a three year term.  The Georgia Sports Hall of Fame Authority has been working to secure a lease and new management since April 2010.
