SPLOST Bonds Pass with Resistance

Split opinions surfaced Tuesday night at Macon City Council’s special called meeting as some council members challenged the Mayor’s process of doing things.

City Councilman, Henry Ficklin, asked to change the city’s SPLOST bonding resolution to make sure that an RFP, or request for proposal, be sent out for all SPLOST projects, and that minorities and women be considered for executing the projects as well.
