South winds help temperatures rise, but it’ll still be seasonable this afternoon

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Cold 20s this morning, but our afternoon features seasonable, cool highs in the upper 50s. I’m forecasting a milder overnight with morning lows in the upper 30s and low 40s. It may not be low enough to necessitate the heater, but it really depends how high your tolerance is for the cold!

Southern winds help warm things up today and moreso tomorrow. High on Tuesday will be around 66, plus it’ll be much cloudier.

Wednesday is when the forecast really changes as a cold front pushes into the state and brings showers to our area. Not looking at many storms from this. It’ll be a slow mover, so on Thursday, the front will still be in the state, and a wave of moisture will ride along the front and push more showers into the area.

By Friday, we clear out, beginning a sunny and mild weekend with highs in the 60s.
