Sonny Carter Elementary Students Don Green and White in Honor of Sandy Hook Victims

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Children in Bibb County honored the murdered Sandy hook students and staff, by wearing that school’s colors during their holiday program.

Students at Sonny Carter Elementary sang Christmas songs for parents and teachers at their annual concert–but instead of donning festive green and red, they opted for Sandy Hook’s green and white.

“It’s just another way for these children to participate in a small act of showing that they care for another elementary school that’s going through a very hard time,” says Principal Latricia Reeves.

Many of the children that participated in today’s program are the same age as those killed in Friday’s shooting.
