Some residents in Monroe County under Water Boil Advisory
Residents who have experienced water outages and/or low water pressure are advised to use only boiled tap water or bottled tap water for drinking, cooking, or preparing food

UPDATE- (6:15 p.m.): Water service has been restored to homes on Blount Road, Timberline Drive, Big Buck Trail, Riverview Road, Riverbend Road, Towaliga South Road and Hillcrest Lane.
However, out of an abundance of caution, the Monroe County Board of Commissioners Facebook page says a Boil Water Advisory for those impacted by the outage.

MONROE COUNTY, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Some residents in Monroe County are without water after a broken water main.
According to a Facebook post by the Monroe County Board of Commissioners, water services are interrupted on Blount Road from just north of its intersection with Timberline Drive and Big Buck Trail to as far south as its intersection with Towaliga South Road.
This is also impacting Monroe County water system customers on Timberline Drive, Big Buck Trail, Towaliga South Road, Riverview Road, Riverbend Road, and Hillcrest Lane.
The post says once water service has been restored, residents will have to boil water for the next several days out of precaution.
