Smoke Stack Farmer’s Market opens in Macon, offering fresh, local goods year-round
A new destination for fresh, locally-sourced food has officially opened its doors in Macon.
MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT)- A new destination for fresh, locally-sourced food has officially opened its doors in Macon. Business owner Biram Chapman has launched the Smoke Stack Farmer’s Market, now open every Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 342 Rose Avenue.
The year-round, “rain or shine” market features a variety of vendors each week, providing the community with farm-to-table produce and goods from local farmers and small business owners.
The grand opening took place last Saturday, drawing in visitors to support local vendors and shop fresh.
Chapman says his goal is simple: to bring the community together while promoting healthy eating and local businesses. “It’s about getting farm-to-table fresh food from local vendors and business owners,” he said.
Smoke Stack Farmer’s Market plans to continue operating every Saturday, regardless of the weather, making it a consistent option for residents looking to shop local and eat fresh.
