ORIGINAL STORY (11:28 a.m.) – WARNER ROBINS, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT)- The Houston County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a possible domestic violence incident along Smithville Church Road, prompting a public safety alert Friday morning.
According to Sheriff Matt Moulton, deputies are working in the area of Smithville Church Road between Leverette Road and Laramie Road. Authorities asked the public to avoid the area while the investigation is ongoing.
The sheriff’s office said there is a heavy law enforcement presence at the scene. They say there is no threat to the public at this time.
The alert was issued at 10:50 a.m. Friday. The sheriff’s office said additional information will be released as it becomes available.
